Venus is a blue roan Half Arabian filly by Valerio GA out of a blue roan Quarter Horse mare. Venus is a special filly!!  She had a rough start to her life when her dam, Poco Shady Blue colicked right after foaling and had to be put down a day later.  Despite that, little Miss Venus has thrived and is a strong-willed filly.  She immediately took to pan feeding and having me as her foster mom!   Since I was unable to find a willing nurse mare or even a foster mare, I decided to see if Val would raise his daughter.  He has been a great mentor and patient dad.  I think he enjoys having Venus join him on endurance rides and be a companion out at pasture.  In turn, Venus is learning to be a horse.  
 
Venus has traveled to both coasts and attended more endurance rides than a lot of endurance horses.  She loves the attention she draws and is always happy to greet new people demanding attention.  This filly is gonna be ready to head down the trail as soon as she is old enough.  I will, of course be keeping her.
